(KMOV) – Two men are dead after two late night shootings in St. Louis
The first one happened just northeast of Forest Park.
According to St. Louis police, Demetric Thompson, 22, died after suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, neck and back.
It happened just before 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the 4700 block of McMillan.
Officers who were in the area heard multiple gunshots. When they approached the scene, a witness flagged them down and told them Thompson was lying in the street.
Thompson was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No one was able to provide police with a description of the suspect.
The second shooting happened just a few minutes later.
Police say Scott Crawford, 24, was found dead in an alley near the intersection of Greer and Norwood.
Crawford was found dead after police received a call for multiple shots fired in that area. Authorities found Crawford had been shot in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses tell police they saw two black men running from the scene.
The two shootings are not believed to be related.
