(KMOV) -- Crews have shut down a busy stretch of road in St. Charles County that is creating a mess.
Crews will close Jungermann Road at Route 94 for the next two months for a rebuilding project, and it’s already creating problems. They are already tearing the road apart and rebuilding the outer roads along 94 and leading into the Page extension.
Many businesses are also feeling cut off. Patrons at the Sheer Locks Combs Salon say their customers are arriving 5 to 10 minutes late, and others are cancelling.
It is all part of a $44 million project to rebuild roads in the area.
Crews hope to reopen the roadway by Thanksgiving week. Drivers can use Harvester Road and Old Route 94 as a detour.
