(KMOV) -- Panera Bread's world headquarters is moving to Sunset Hills, and that could mean hundreds of jobs in the future.
The St. Louis area company that is locally known as the St. Louis Bread Company outgrew its Richmond Heights and Brentwood offices. Initially, 375 people will work at the new offices at Geyer and Watson Roads, but the number could increase to 600 employees in a couple of years.
City officials hope the company's move will fill the void Anheuser Busch left behind. The mayor said some businesses lost 15 percent of their customer base when A-B workers left.
