(KMOV) – Three separate shootings across the city over last weekend left four men in their late teens to early twenties injured.
In the first incident, an 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were both shot on Sunday around 2 p.m. in the 8400 block of Newby. The 18-year-old was shot in the buttocks and the other victim was struck in the leg.
According to police, the victims and another friend said they were standing on a front porch when someone fired shots at them. They say they were not able to identify where the shots came from.
Later that night in a separate incident, police say a 22-year-old man was shot by a suspect described as a black male standing around 6’0”, wearing a black shirt, black pants and a black and red mask.
The victim said that he was walking westbound in the 3900 block of Miami while the suspect was walking eastbound. Police report that the suspect approached the victim and started talking before pulling out a gun. The suspect allegedly shot the victim in the leg and then fled on foot.
The victim was taken to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition.
Police reported another incident early Monday morning at 3 when two males wearing black hooded sweatshirts and black pants allegedly shot a 20-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 4400 block of Carter.
The victim said that a friend dropped him off at home, and as he was walking to his door, the suspects began shooting at him.
Those suspects left the scene on foot, police say. The victim was taken to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition.
Police are investigating all three incidents.
