THURSDAY, SEPT 16
Parkway North Vikings (2-1) @ Timberland Wolves (2-1)
A great non-league matchup at Timberland as two strong teams face each other before entering into heavy conference competition. The Vikings, from the Suburban South, who are averaging 37 ppg are led offensively by James Hawkins 11 touchdowns. The Wolves are looking to bounce back from their tough loss the Francis Howell last Friday. Halleem Rayford scored three times in the loss and he is the leading rusher on this team from the Gateway Athletic Conference South.

Seckman Jaguars (0-2) @ Parkway West Longhorns (0-3)
Each team is looking for their first win of the 2010 season in a game that promises to be highly competitive Suburban South game. Michael Kurz leads the Longhorn defense while Charles Thomas has been the key in the early goind. The Jags, who are in their first year of Suburban South play, have Kyle Eaves as the leading tackler and Sam Tramel who engineers the offense.

FRIDAY, SEPT 17
St. Louis U. High (2-1)    @   CBC  (2-1)     VIDEO
One of the longest rivalries of the Midwest continues their tradition as the Jr. Bills visit the Cadets in a Metro Catholic Conference Game. Each team is coming off of games against ranked opponents.  CBC toppled the #3 ranked Class 6 school last week 17-10. Tony Brown crossed the goal line twice in the victory. The Cadet defense throttled the Spartan offense last week and were led by Steve Martin, Austin Martinez as linebackers and Josiah Stanfield in the secondary. SLUH dropped a game to the defending Class 5 Champions, the Webster Groves Statesman. The Jr Bills bring in their usual prolific pass game led by Jr. QB Trevor McDonagh and receivers Mitch Klug and Stefan Sansone. Terek Hawkins heads up the ground game. This game should be high scoring affair with plenty of excitement.

Parkway South (2-1)    @ Lindbergh (3-0)
The Flyers of Lindbergh now beginning to be noticed on the STATE level with their unblemished record host the Patriots of Parkway South in a key Suburban West game. These two high scoring machines bring huge offense numbers into the contest as the Flyers average 36ppg and the Patriots 32 ppg! Peter Simpson has six TD strikes as the Flyer QB and Tim Hamm-Bey provides plenty of action on offense, special teams as a return man and defense!  Look for Tony Robinson to be a real force defensively for the Flyers. The Patriots’ Gerald Graves has 561 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns as he leads a potent ground attack. QB Eric Laurent is just under 100 yards per game passing during the first 3 games with 298 passing. This game will be key in determining the Suburban West Champion.

Vianney (1-2)     @   DeSmet (2-1)
Every MCC game provides plenty of skill and action and this game will be the same way!  The Spartans are looking to bounce back from last week’s defeat to CBC. Durron Neal, spectacular running back-wildcat QB-wide receiver, is a threat to go the distance on any play. Soph Conner Harrison made his debut last week at QB and demonstrated a strong arm and blazing speed.  His talented receivers—Stephen Pace and Kevonn Mabon are “big targets” who can go get the ball. Teddy Corwin leads an aggressive Spartan defense. Meanwhile, the Golden Griffins have Markel Smith with 5 TD’s leading the way.

Ste Genevieve (1-2) @ Maplewood Richmond-Hts (3-0)
The #1 ranked Blue Devils host the Dragons of Ste. Genevieve in a Mississippi Area White Division Game. Kahlid Hagens is a duo threat with 429 passing yards, 3 TD passes and 54 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns for Maplewood. Cortez Cooper has ten receptions to balance this potent attack. The Dragons continue through their meat-grinder schedule as they face their third consecutive unbeaten team of 2010. (Valle Catholic & Fredericktown are 3-0 also). Brendan Weiler is the engineer of the Dragon spread offense.

Oakville (1-2)  @ Mehlville (1-2)
Throw out the records as these two intra-district rivals square off for the bragging rights of South County in this Suburban West game. The Tigers coming off a big win against Parkway South last week have the multi-talented Javon Henderson at the helm as QB. Darrion Moore is the feature back of the Tigers offense while Moe Legrand and Brett Carrigan lead the defense.  After an impressive opening week victory, the Panthers have faced stiff competition in the last two weeks. Remington Grigsby leads this run- oriented team in rushing. Patrick Mudd has been the leading tackler for the Panthers in 2010.

Columbia (2-1)   @ Trenton (2-1)
The Eagles travel to Trenton for an important Cahokia Conference game. Columbia has been led by running back Mark Sellers who averages over 7 yards per carry. Alex Schlemmer balances the attack with 458 passing yards.  The Warriors bouncing back from a 1-8 season look to get some revenge for the 42-6 loss to Columbia last year. Nate Schreiber and Josh Campbell form a strong 1-2 punch for the run game for the Warriors who have over 800 rushing yards in three games.

Belleville West (3-0)  @ Granite City (1-2)
The Maroons look to continue their march to the top echelon of the Southwestern Conference as they travel to visit the Warriors. Sedrick Spillers has over 500 yards rushing and carries a 10.0+ yards per carry into this contest for Bell West.  Perry Grimes and Kaprix Sloan lead the Warrior offense that will be challenged by the stiff defense of the Maroons.
