Felony warrants issued in Alorton carjacking case

(KMOV) – Police have issued assault and robbery warrants against a 32-year-old man who allegedly attacked a woman and stole her vehicle outside a truck stop in Alorton on Thursday.

Police said Thomas England attacked a female truck driver at a Flying J truck stop. Authorities said he rammed her with her own car before stealing the vehicle.

Police said England has a history of violence that dates back 20 years, including aggravated battery, burglary, car theft and stealing in both Madison and St. Clair counties.

Witnesses say they often saw England walking around the truck stop begging for money.

Police are still investigating the case.

According to St. Clair County court records, this case is pending Grand Jury action.  It is not clear if England has appeared for an arraignment.

England remains in jail on a $750,000 bond.
