(KMOV.com) -- An accident that caused a major back up on Interstate 64 in East St. Louis has been cleared and traffic is moving normally.

Around 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning, a vehicle traveling westbound on I-64 stuck a light pole near 25th Street.  The impact caused the pole to fall over and land on the interstate.  The pole ended up blocking two lanes of traffic and caused a major traffic snag for drivers.

All lanes have been reopened.  No injuries were reported.
