ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – A St. Charles man has pleaded guilty to defrauding his employer of hundreds of thousands of dollars, the United States Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
Eric Engle, 37, pleaded guilty to one count of felony wire fraud.
According to the USAO, from 2007 to September, 2011, Engle worked for LabCorp, a company that runs patient centers that analyzes blood samples.
Authorities said Engle created a fake cleaning service company called OptiClean; which used LabCorp services and made fake invoices totaling $342,430.
Engle faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine up to $1 million.
