Man shot twice after allegedly winning dice game in north St. Louis

(KMOV)—Police are investigating after a man was shot in the back just after midnight on Saturday morning in north St. Louis.

According to authorities, the 49-year-old victim was playing a dice game with the suspect on the 4200 block of Ashland when the victim won and left with his cash winnings.

Police say the suspect, described as a man in his 20’s, chased down the victim with a gun. As the victim ran from the suspect, he allegedly threw the money back at the suspect.

At this point the aggravated suspect shot the victim two times in the back. He is currently stable at a local hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
