A St. Louis man arrested in connection with a Metro East break-in was charged with residential burglary Monday.
Perry McNairy is suspected of breaking into a home in the 200 block of North 44th St. in Belleville last December. Detectives believe he may be linked to other burglaries in the west end of Belleville, and say they are waiting on forensic evidence in those cases.
McNairy, a North St. Louis resident., faces one charge of residential burglary, a class 1 felony. His bond has been set at $200,000.
A tip lead police to a Collinsville pawn shop where the suspect is believed to have sold stolen items from the home. The same tip then lead police to McNairy.
The suspect is currently being held at the Belleville Police Department and will be arraigned today.
