ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV) -- The St. Charles City Council is deciding whether to spend millions on a new community center.
McNair Park could be the home to a state-of-the-art community center that will include multiple swimming pools, gyms, basketball courts and tracks.
The community center could cost $10-30 million that would come from a bond issue that the voters passed a few years ago.
The St. Charles City Council president says it must take care of the things it needs such as the streets, police and fire departments and then turn its attention to the things it wants such as the community center.
There is no timetable for the start of construction for a community center.
