Did you feel them? More quakes shake up bi-state region
(KMOV.com) -- If you felt a little off-kilter Monday evening, you might be able to blame it on an earthquake. In fact, two earthquakes shook up the bi-state region on Monday, but hardly anyone reported feeling them.
According to the United States Geological Survey website, the first earthquake shook up the Metro-East around 6:52 p.m. It was centered about three miles north of O'Fallon, Illinois and registered a 2.2 magnitude.
Another quake broke loose in southeastern Missouri later Monday evening. This quake was centered in Frohna and happened around 8:42. It was somewhat less intense, registering a 2.0 magnitude. Frohna is approximately 50-60 miles north of East Prairie, Missouri where a 4.0 magnitude earthquake hit just a week ago.
