Attorney seeks to dismiss murder charge in Dasher case
By Bryce Moore
(KMOV.com) -- The attorney representing the Affton mother accused of killing her 13-month-old baby boy is asking for the second-degree murder charge against her client to be dropped.
The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office confirmed the report Tuesday morning. Shelby Dasher has been in jail since she was charged on November 16th last year. If the dismissal of Dasher's murder charge is denied, her attorney, Tara Crane, is expected to push for a bail decrease. Dasher's bail is currently set at $500,000, cash-only.
A hearing is scheduled to discuss the motion on Thursday.
