St. Louis man sentenced to 20 years for string of bank robberies

ST. LOUIS, Mo (KMOV.com) – A man who robbed two banks in 2011 was sentenced to two decades of jail time Wednesday.

Jerry B. Chambers was sentenced for the March 2011 armed robberies of the Pulaski Bank in St. Louis, the First Collinsville Bank in Caseyville, IL; and the April 2011 robbery of Advance America in Madison County, IL.

The amounts of money taken during the robberies was $84,000 from the Pulaski Bank, $108,000 from First Collinsville Bank and $1,365 from Advance America.

Chambers, 33, St. Louis, pled guilty in May and appeared Wednesday for sentencing in St. Louis.

This case was investigated by the FBI.
