ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- A man on probation for carrying an illegal weapon now faces new charges Tuesday for shooting a woman.
Prosecutors say they wanted Elton Norfolk to go to prison for the first gun crime he committed in 2010, but a judge gave him probation.
Police say two weeks ago the convicted felon shot a woman who allegedly owed him money.
She was shot in the arm and back as she ran away from him.
Prosecutors expect a much harsher sentence this time around.
