COLUMBIA, Mo (KMOV.com) - Only a few days after eclipsing its goal of selling 45,000 season tickets, the Mizzou Athletic Department announced it has sold out of football season tickets for the 2012 season.
This is the first time all of the season tickets have been sold. The final number will take some time to determine, but the Mizzou Athletic Department estimates it sold around 46,500 season tickets. The number represents the number of seats allocated to fans on a season basis.
Single game tickets are currently available for the non-conference home games. They can be purchased at MUTigers.com or by calling 1-800-PAWS. Members of the Tiger Schloarship Fund at designated levels can currently purchase single game tickets for the SEC home games. If tickets remain, tickets to the conference games will go on sale to the public on Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. on MUTigers.com.
The Tigers open their season on Sept. 1 at home against Southeastern Louisiana. Their first game in SEC conference play is one week later against Georgia. Tickets for that game, and the highly anticipated match-up with Alabama on Oct. 13 may not be available to public.
