BRENTWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) –A major road was shut down after a car struck a power pole in Brentwood Monday afternoon.
According to reports, a part of the pole fell down on the road after being struck by an out-of-control car in the 1600 block of South Hanley Road.
It was not known how many people were in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
No injuries were reported.
Traffic on the road was shut down in both directions while crews worked to clear the scene. All lanes were reopened by about 4 p.m.
Power lines could be seen draped across the roadway, which police said made it unsafe for drivers to pass.
Authorities did not say how long South Hanley was expected to be closed.
