O'FALLON, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- An O'Fallon gas station was robbed early Sunday morning when a man walked in and grabbed cash from the register.

O'Fallon Police say the robbery took place at the Circle K at 1705 O'Fallon Road around 2:45 Sunday morning. They say a man walked in while the clerk was busy and went behind the counter. Then the suspect implied that he had a weapon, but never showed it, and demanded the money in the register.

When the clerk gave up the cash, the suspect fled on foot with the money in a gray and blue backpack. A Police K-9 tracked the scent of the man from the scene but later lost it.

Investigators describe the suspect as a white male between the ages of 18 and 25. He had a bandanna on his face with sunglasses. The man was wearing a gray sweatshirt, baggy blue jeans, black tennis shoes and gloves.
