(KMOV) – A Eureka man is charged with setting fire to several parked cars on the  Missouri Baptist University campus in May.

According to authorities, Andrew Wos, 21, was charged on Wednesday with four counts of felony knowingly burning or exploding for his alleged actions on May 1.

Wos is accused of setting two cars on fire on a Missouri Baptist University parking lot at College Park Drive and Highway 141.

Police later discovered two more cars parked at the Covenant Seminary had also been burned in a similar manner a few hours later.

The fires were started with dried leaves, and other vegetation having been stuffed in the opening to the gas tanks and sparked with a flame.

Wos’ father told police he had admitted to setting the fires.

Further details into the investigation and the suspect involved were not immediately released.
