(KMOV.com) -- Authorities have filed charges against a Metro-East man after a woman allegedly found him in her bathroom holding a weapon and using drugs.
Ronald McGruder was charged with home invasion, aggravated battery, unlawful restraint, and unlawful possession of controlled substance early Saturday morning.
According to court documents, Washington Park police received a call about a home invasion last Wednesday around 4:30 p.m in the 1500 block of North 48th St.
The victim told police she entered her apartment and a naked male subject came out of her bathroom holding a hammer and a crack pipe.
Authorities say McGruder then grabbed the victim and began biting her. The victim was able to break free and leave the residence. She then locked the suspect inside the house.
The victim was bitten several times and was transported to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
McGruder's bail has been set at $1,000,000.
