(KMOV) – A man faces charges after he allegedly bought a stolen gun and resisted arrested in University City on Wednesday.
Timothy Brison, 24, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, receiving stolen property and resisting a lawful stop or detention.
According to court documents, police received a call someone was flourishing a gun at Eastgate Park in the 850 block of Eastgate in University City.
An officer responded to the scene and spotted Brison, who matched the description of the suspect.
Police said the officer approached Brison and told him he was under arrest, but he ran off.
Authorities said Brison at one point threw a weapon and was eventually apprehended in the 700 block of Rosedale.
The gun, which authorities discovered had been stolen, was later recovered by police. Brison later admitted to buying it off the streets.
