ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- Four men have been indicted after they allegedly conspired to rob a bank in Florissant in November.
According to the indictment, the FBI got information that Otis McAllister, Ray Bassett, Willie Bassett, Jr., and Anthony McAllister were planning to rob a Pulaski Bank branch on November 4.
Police said that Bassetts and Anthony McAllister know Otis McAllister, who is serving time in prison robbing several St. Louis-area banks. Police said the Bassetts drove to Memphis, Tennessee and stayed at Anthony McAllister's house a few days before the planned robbery.
Ray Bassett was charged with one count each of conspiracy to commit bank robbery, attempted bank robbery, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence and being a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Willie James Bassett was indicted on one count of conspiracy to commit bank robbery and attempted bank robbery. Anthony McAllister and Otis McAllister were indicted on one count of soliciation to commit a crime of violence.
If found guilty, each men could spend up to five years in prison and be fined up to $250,000.
