Police to assist DEA in disposing of unused medicine

ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- The St. Louis County Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration are giving residents the opportunity to safely get rid of unused prescription medicine Saturday.

Officers will collect unused prescription medicine beginning at 10 a.m. at four sites:

North County Recreation Complex (2577 Redman Road, 63136)
Mehlville Substation (3229 Lemay Ferry Road)
City of Clarkson Valley Substation (15933 Clayton Road, 63011)
City of Fenton Precinct (625 New Smizer Mill Road)

The initiative seeks to prevent unused prescription medication from becoming available for abuse and to keep unused prescription medication out of the nation's water supply.
