Police ID man caught on camera taking parts from St. Peters auto shop

ST. PETERS, Missouri (KMOV) -- Police have identified a man who was seen on surveillance video taking several automobile parts from behind an auto body shop in St. Peters.

According to police, surveillance cameras captured the man taking over $2,000 worth of parts from the shop in the 1st block of Algana Court around 7 p.m. on March 10.

Police said the man was identified as a 52-year-old Orchard Farms-are resident. He was not arrested, but the case was sent to the prosecuting attorney’s office for review.

Surveillance cameras also captured the man earlier in April when he returned to remove more items from behind the business.

According to police, he was driving a late model white truck with a camper shell and a chrome fuel cap on the driver’s side.
