BRANSON, Mo. (AP) -- A popular campground at Table Rock Lake south of Branson will be closed for the 2012 season while construction crews repair extensive damage from last year's high water.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says for safety reasons, it's asking the public not to enter Old Highway 86 Park until the work is done.
Old Highway 86 Park occupies a peninsula on the White River Arm of Table Rock Lake. The park has water on three sides and 71 campsites, many of them on the water's edge.
Lake levels were unusually high last year after the White River Basin received heavy spring rain.
