You can satisfy your craving for Italian food and help those helping stray animals (mostly dogs)  find loving homes Wednesday night, April 25th.

The Pasta House in Fairview Heights, Illinois is hosting Pasta for Pets which benefits Gateway Pet Guardians (www.gatewaypets.com).

There will be an appetizer buffet for $10 and a live and silent auction to raise money for the cause.

Gateway Pet Guardians is in the process of building a shelter in Centreville, Illinois which will help immensely with their mission of rescuing, rehabilitating and adopting out stray and abused animals.

Right now it's up to volunteer foster families to take care of the rescued dogs until they're adopted out as pets.

Mark Schnyder is a reporter at KMOV-TV.
