ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- A southern Illinois man is charged with first-degree murder after a toddler under his care died at a St. Louis hospital.

Jarrod Rudder of Elkville, Illinois, was charged Monday with two counts of first-degree murder and is being held in the Jackson County, Illinois, jail. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
