BRENTWOOD, Mo. (KMOV) – A 55-year-old man who was serving a prison sentence for robbing six banks in 2004 was arrested for robbing a Brentwood bank Friday.
John Sarver was supposed to board a bus and report to a halfway house in Kansas City when he allegedly robbed the bank. He was later caught on a Metro platform.
Probation officials tell News 4 that if a released felon is approved for a halfway house then they are approved to get on a bus alone to get there.
Sarver has been charged with first degree robbery with a $50,000 bond. He served his 2004 prison sentence in Greenville, Illinois.
