(KMOV) -- A customer is given excuse-after-excuse about why the work has not been completed on his vehicle after taking it in to a Cottage Hills repair shop in January.
Jared Littlefield took his Jeep to Wild Ride Motor Sports and has since been given the run-around by mechanic Brian McCoy about why there is no engine in his vehicle after paying him $1,834 for the job almost three months ago.
"He sent me a text I think last week or the week before saying 'I had a busy last three days,'" Littlefield said. "I said 'well it is nice of you to work on everybody else's stuff, but I already paid you $1,834 and you have my engine. Now I am up the creek without a paddle.'"
McCoy told News 4's Mike Columbo that he never gave Littlefield a time frame on the repair and says the engine has not returned from the machine shop yet.
"I had some games with my daughter and I could not get down there and get it," McCoy replied after telling Litchfield he would have the work completed by April 9.
Now McCoy states that Littlefield will have his engine back "no later than two weeks."
"He is going to get his money back and his engine," McCoy said. "I have got no use for his stuff or his money."
News 4 will be sure to follow-up on McCoy's promise.
