CLAYTON, Missouri (KMOV) -- Close to 20 car break-ins over the weekend now have police in three area cities wondering if they’re dealing with a band of thieves.
Police said from Friday to Sunday there were 10 break-ins in Maplewood, four in Clayton and four in Richmond Heights.
In all cases the car’s locks were punched out.
In Maplewood, along the 2100 block of Bellevue, residents say they had at least seven cars damaged.
Police said the thieves are taking valuables like iPods and computers.
Officers in all three cities said they are workign to find the thieves before they strike again.
