ST. LOUIS (AP) -- St. Louis Rams rookie tight end Michael Hoomanawanui will be sidelined four to six weeks with a high right ankle sprain.
Hoomanawanui was injured in Sunday's 36-33 victory at Denver. He missed a month earlier in the season with a high sprain to his left ankle, and coach Steve Spagnuolo said Monday it's too early to say whether the rookie will have to go on injured reserve.
Hoomanawanui caught a 36-yard touchdown pass against the Broncos. The fifth-round pick out of Illinois has 13 receptions with a 11.2-yard average and two touchdowns.
