(KMOV) – In an effort to save money on Black Friday, some shoppers actually spent more after their cars were towed.

Seven customers walked out of the Best Buy on Lindbergh only to find their cars gone.

The parking lot was so full, some shoppers decided to park their cars in a nearby lot that belongs to a T-Mobile store.

Between six and nine Bulldog Towing trucks took all those cars away.

The tow truck company says they were only doing their job.

Each customer paid more than $300 to get his or her car back.

There were signs in the lot warning the shoppers not to park there unless they were T-Mobile customers.
