Coach Bob Ryan has your State Championship HS football updates

YOU can listen to ALL of the State Championship Football games this weekend on NO ONE ELSE has this coverage for YOU! Nine teams put their unbeaten records on the line in these thrilling games. Immediately following each game, the replay is available to be heard.


8 Man Football -9:30am
Mound City (11-1)  vs St. Joseph Christian (11-1)

These schools meet again in a rematch of 2009. The 8man game provides plenty of offense. Tim Miller & Bradford Bruns will bring you all the action.

CLASS 1 -1:00pm
Valle Catholic Warriors (13-1) vs Westran Hornets (14-0)

The #1 ranked Hornets face the Warriors for the 2nd time this season in a matchup of two highly ranked Class 1 teams. Westran won the first hard-fought contest 21-14 in early October. Valle’s offense has run on high gear all year as they average over 50ppg! Frank Kirchmer will bring you all of this thrilling action!

CLASS 3 -4:15pm
John Burroughs Bombers (14-0)  vs Richmond Spartans (14-0)

A battle of two 14-0 teams looms here!  The Bombers have been led by Grant Wallace’s game-breaking plays throughout 2010. Meanwhile, Richmond snapped the 29 game winning streak of the two-time defending Champion-Cassville last week to earn their berth in this game.

CLASS 5 -7:30pm
Webster Groves Statesman (13-0) vs Lee Summit West Titans (13-1)

The defending Class 5 champions welcome a familiar visitor to the Dome- the Titans of Lee Summit West. The Statesman have dismantled of their opponents in the STATE tournament as their margin of victory has been over 30 points per game! The Titans won their first two games easily but had narrow victories over tough opponents in the last 2 rounds.


CLASS 2 – 12:00pm
Penny Hornets (14-0) vs  Maplewood Richmond-Heights Blue Devils (14-0)

The defending Class 1 Champion, Penny Hornets, moved up a class this year but not much has changed on the scoreboard! Racing by most opponents and cruising through the playoffs, Penny looks to pull off a rare feat of moving up a class and winning the state title. Meanwhile, the Blue Devils bring blazing speed from all angles and on both sides of the ball.

CLASS 4 – 3:15pm
Warrenton Warriors (11-3)   vs Webb City Cardinals (14-0)

One of the established powerhouse programs of Missouri High School Football, the Webb City Cardinals, appear at the Dome again. The Cardinals knocked off Harrisonville last week to avenge their semifinal defeat in 2009. Meanwhile, the Cinderella team of the Dome teams is the Warrenton Warriors. Competing in the Gateway Athletic Conference North, the Warriors surprised many observers by traveling to Sikeston and upending the Bulldogs last week.

CLASS 6 – 6:30pm
Rockhurst Hawklets(13-0)  vs Hazelwood Central Hawks (13-0)

Two teams that are very familiar with the Championship setting meet each other again for the Class 6 Title. The Hazelwood Central Hawks arrived for their 16th trip to the Championship game. A tight defense, big-play offense and superb kicking has been the Hawks strength. The Hawklets have won 8 state titles and bring a power-offense with a stingy defense and outstanding special teams to this game. This will be the 5th time that these two teams have met of the title!
