Passenger seriously injured in downtown shooting

St. Louis (KMOV) – A shoot-out near Busch Stadium sends seven people to the hospital.

Police say three people were ambushed on Broadway at Walnut, while stopped at a red light. It happened just before 3:00 a.m. by a second car with a man firing a gun.
 
One passenger was critically wounded by a bullet that hit his back. A woman in the car was grazed in the shoulder.
 
During the shooting, police say the suspect swerved and collided with a hotel shuttle. Five people in the Crown Plaza van were taken to the hospital as a precaution. 
 
The shooter is still on the run and possibly driving a dark, new model Pontiac.
 
The investigation is on-going.
