(KMOV) – Police are searching for a suspect believed to be involved in two shootings in north St. Louis.
The first shooting happened around 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the 2900 block of Hebert. Police say Travion Harris, 14, died after being shot in the chest in an apparent drive-by shooting.
The family of the teenager says he was standing outside at the time of the shooting. Police say there were at least 21 casings on the ground.
Minutes later, a second shooting happened in the 2400 block of Glascow.
Police say Robert Rucker, 20, was shot in the head and side while driving with two passengers in his car. Police say that a red sedan, possibly a Pontiac pulled up next to Rucker's vehicle and shots were fired. Rucker was pronounced dead at the scene.
The only description police have is that the shooter or shooters were in a red Pontiac Grand Prix. They say there were multiple weapons used in these shootings and they do not believe these were drug related.
This is the second fatal shooting on Hebert this month and it marks the 123rd homicide St. Louis has seen this year.
