Standoff in Jennings apartment complex over; 2 suspects in custody

(KMOV) – A standoff is over after two suspects surrendered without incident in St. Louis County.

 It started around noon on Monday at the Shannon Fox Apartments in Jennings.
 
Authorities have not released many details but they told News 4 that a man was shot. He was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
 
Two people are in custody after surrendering to police around 3 p.m.
 
The victim and suspects are described as males in their mid 20s. Police say the incident started as a verbal argument that escalated into the shooting.
 
Police at one point had an apartment surrounded. No other details have been released yet.

Due to the police activity in the area, Northview Elementary, Gary Gore Elementary, Jennings Junior High and Jennings Senior High Schools was on lock down.
