(KMOV)-- An Army Specialist with ties to Wentzville was killed in action Wednesday in Afghanistan.
Spc. Justin Eric Culbreth, 26, died after being struck by an improvised explosive device in Kandahar.
Culbreth’s parents live in Wentzville.
Spc. Culbreth was an Infantryman assigned to Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). He joined the U.S. Army in 2004.
