You can listen to half of the State Semifinal Football games this weekend on NO ONE ELSE has this coverage for YOU !    Immediately following each game, the replay is available to be heard.

Webster Groves Statesman (12-0) @ Kirkwood Pioneers (8-4)

These two long-time rivals meet about six days earlier on the calendar than usual as they compete in the STATE Semifinal. The unbeaten defending Class 5 Champions have beaten all opponents by a minimum of 17 points during the 2010 campaign. Kirkwood has won impressive post-season games over Ft Zumwalt East, Holt and Summit during the earlier rounds.  One of these two squads will be home watching on Turkey Day while the other is preparing for the STATE Championship.

DeSmet Spartans (8-4) @ Hazelwood Central Hawks (11-0)

The defending class 6 champions meet the Spartans for the 2nd time in 2010. Winning a 20-19 squeaker in week one, each squad has come a long way since that time. Central used a strong kicking game and its usual great defense to beat CBC in the Quarters. DeSmet snatched 3 interceptions that were returned for TD’s as they cruised by Lindbergh last week.

Warrenton Warriors (10-3)   @ Sikeston Bulldogs (13-0)

The Bulldogs reach the semifinal round again in 2010 after being knocked off last year in the semifinals by Helias. Warrenton, a surprise to many observers, handled Ladue easily in last weeks game.
John Burroughs Bombers (13-0)  @ Bowling Green Bobcats (11-2)

This game will be on Prepcasts through Eagle 102 network. The Bobcats are working to get back to the Dome in 2010. Zac Pease leads the Bobcats offense. The Bombers look to return to the Championship after a hiatus. Burroughs features its all-state player- Grant Wallace as a receiver.

Lamar Tigers (10-3) @ Maplewood Richmond-Heights Blue Devils (13-0)

The Blue Devils host the Tigers from the Big 8 conference in Western Missouri in this semfinal game.  Lamar won the quarterfinal game in the waning seconds over Mt. View-Liberty 21-20.  Maplewood averages over 40 ppg for the season. The Blue Devils beat Caruthersville in the Quarters.

Valle Catholic Warriors (12-1)  vs Concordia Orioles (13-0)

The Orioles will have a prolific offense waiting the Warriors on Saturday. Concordia averages over 50 ppg and has been under 40 points only once all year !
Valle brings similar numbers to the table. As they also are over 50 ppg and have suffered their only defeat to the #1 ranked, Class 1 team Westran.  Westran is playing in the other semifinal game!
