(KMOV) – Business owners in the Hyde Park neighborhood of St. Louis are being turned away from obtaining liquor licenses.
Alderman Freeman Bosley says there are too many taverns crowding the corners. Bosley says business owners who open a restaurant could possibly receive a liquor license.
Those who just want to open another liquor store will have to look elsewhere. Bosley will not budge on his plan to keep new liquor stores out of the third ward.
One tavern, CW’s, recently began serving breakfast after a push from Alderman Bosley.
Bosley believes more restaurants will add jobs and create more of a family atmosphere.
