Jefferson County detective injured after man escapes police on motorcycle

(KMOV)-- Jefferson County police are searching for a man wanted after injuring an officer and resisting arrest Monday.

Authorities say that police arrived to Stacy Woodcock’s home around 4:15 pm on the 2600 block of Hillsboro-Valley Park Rd. in an attempt to arrest him on felony warrants.
 
Woodcock came from behind the residence on a motorcycle crashing into a gate. The gate struck a detective in the head.
 
The detective was treated at the scene and was then taken to an area hospital for treatment. He has been released.
 
Woodcock was last seen on a late model, blue sport motorcycle leaving the area at a high rate of speed.
 
Woodcock is being charged with assault on law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
 
No bond has been set.
