(KMOV) -- An early morning house fire forced evacuations in south St. Louis.

The flames broke out in the 2700 block of Wyoming around 3:25 a.m. on Monday.

The fire happened at a six-family building and the flames basically destroyed one side of it. A wall collapsed and part of the roof was destroyed.

Neighbors say the building was vacant and it was not being rehabbed.

Witnesses also say this was the second fire at the building in the past six months.

There was a fatal fire at this same location in December of 2005. In that fire, an 83-year-old woman was killed.

No injuries were reported in Monday’s blaze.

Authorities have not released any information about the cause of the fire.
