(KMOV) – The Circuit Attorney’s Office issued warrants against 48-year-old Jerome Williams of the 4900 block of Penrose in connection to the case of a man whose body was found in a burned out car in north St. Louis on November 13.

Police say they responded to a call in the 1400 block of Newhouse just after 8:40 Saturday morning where someone reported a vehicle on fire.

At the scene, police discovered a 1984 cream-colored Cadillac with the man's dead body in the back seat. The victim was burned beyond recognition, but after examination, officials say the victim is believed to be a black male in his mid 30s.

Williams is charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action. He is being held without bond.
