(KMOV) – Some O’Fallon, Missouri homeowners fought back when their subdivision developer went bankrupt and left a construction site unfinished.
Residents of Crystal Ridge hired a lawyer so they could get rights to their subdivision, after the developer went bankrupt in 2005.
The developer left lots in shambles with unfinished homes and junk in the yards.
More than 20 subdivisions in Wentzville have the same dilemma that Crystal Ridge was in.
Wentzville Mayor, Paul Lambi, thinks more homeowners should push lawmakers to give them more rights in their neighborhoods.
