(KMOV) -- The Humane Society of Missouri seized nearly 40 animals from Guilford, Missouri on Thursday.
Thirty three horses, six mini-horses and two goats were found starving, with no access to food or fresh water.
The animals were sent to the Longmeadow Ranch in Union.
Authorities have not released the name of the property owner and it is unclear if any charges will be filed.
A custody hearing will take place on November 29th.
