O’FALLON, Mo. (KMOV) – Residents of O’Fallon, Missouri voiced their opinion on an ordinance that would have prevented federal or local infringement on the right to bear arms in the area.
During a council meeting held Thursday night, council members voted on local bill 6264. Several citizens expressed their support for the bill which would ‘prevent Federal, State or local infringement on the right to keep and bear arms, arms accessories, or ammunition.
After a motion to table the vote for further discussion was voted down, the bill was lost with a 7-3 vote within the council.
Council members stated they didn’t want to spend the tax money to defend it against possible lawsuits.
