(KMOV.com) -- A Columbia, Missouri television station was forced to evacuate for fear that the broadcast tower could collapse Sunday morning.
KOMU staff members were told to evacuate shortly before 10 a.m. when 10+ inches of snow fell in the area, adding more weight to the broadcast tower.
According to their website, the combination of heavy snow and high winds forced crews out of the building.
Around 11 a.m. the building and the tower were deemed safe. All crews returned to regular duties.
