ST. LOUIS -- For the second time since October the Ku Klux Klan has won a court battle over leafleting in a Missouri town.

The American Civil Liberties Union announced Tuesday that the city of Desloge has agreed to stop enforcing an ordinance prohibiting leaflets on streets and sidewalks. The ACLU had sued on behalf of Frank Ancona and members of the Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

A federal judge ruled in favor of the KKK in October in a similar suit against Cape Girardeau.
ACLU attorney Tony Rothert says the ruling signed by U.S. District Judge Audrey Fleissig allows anyone to distribute leaflets in Desloge, a town of 5,000 residents 60 miles southwest of St. Louis.

A message left with Desloge City Administrator Greg Camp was not returned.
