(HockeyStL) -- The St. Louis Blues have activated Andy McDonald from the injured reserve hours before the team plays the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday.
McDonald (knee) was injured during a practice drill three weeks ago and has not played since February 23.
While McDonald was hopeful to play Tuesday night after Monday’s practice, Ken Hitchcock said it would depend on how he felt Tuesday morning. It appears he must be feeling fine.
The Blues are slowly regaining health after Alex Steen returned to action on Thursday, Vladimir Tarasenko on Saturday and now McDonald. There is also a chance T.J. Oshie (upper body) could return this weekend.
The 35-year-old forward has posted eleven points (three goals, eight assists) in 18 games played this season.
