Memorial service held Sunday for late U.S. Marshal

(KMOV)-- Services for late Deputy U.S. Marshal John Perry, 48, were held Sunday morning after he died in the line of duty Tuesday.
 
The memorial service started at 10:00 a.m. at Powell Symphony Hall.
 
A motorcade including Perry’s family and other U.S. Marshals traveled through downtown St. Louis prior to the service.
 
Deputy Perry died from gunshot wounds sustained while serving a warrant in St. Louis.
 
Another U.S. Marshal and a St. Louis Police officer were wounded but are recovering.
 
The family asks for contributions to be made to the John Perry Children’s Benefit Fund, PO Box 323, Maryville, Illinois, 62062.
