Jupiter, Florida (KMOV.com) -- KMOV.com's Brian Feldman is in Jupiter, Florida covering the Cardinals and is posting regular updates from spring training.

Mar. 12, 1:33 p.m. - John Gast warming up for Cards. Gotta be it soon for Jaime. A 3-run HR
makes it 8-3. And that's what happens. Garcia done after 4+ innings. 9
hits. 8 runs.

Mar. 12, 1:26 p.m. - Garcia going out there for the 5th inning. Wow. Guess he, or the
coaches, thinks he needs the work. Can't imagine he hasn't eclipsed
his pitch count yet.

Mar. 12, 1:18 p.m. - As good as Garcia was the first 2 innings he's been that, well, not
good the last couple. A HR and a hard hit single in the latest frame.
Anxious to hear what he says about today.

Mar. 12, 1:07 p.m. - Freese continues his torrid spring. Now 6-13 in games. 2 doubles
today. Can't stress enough how important he is to this club. His
performance (and health) is vital.

Mar. 12, 12:55 p.m. - Shane Robinson drops fly ball. Wonder if we'll see him get another
start? Short answer: No.

Mar. 12, 12:52 p.m. - Whew. Garcia just got a gift. Already 3-0 Mets...Wright crushed one
down 3rd base line. Called foul. Looked very much fair to me.

Mar. 12, 12:47 p.m. - Garcia having some issues in the 3rd. Suddenly very hitable. And its
all the bottom of the order that does the damage. Unusual.

Mar. 12, 12:39 p.m. - Tyler Greene is having some very tough luck today. He crushes another
ball but this one is right at the CF. Great ABs though.

Mar. 12, 12:37 p.m. - Robinson hits another ball at the pitcher that deflects to the 2nd
baseman. This one gets through for a hit though. Lot of balls up the
middle today.

Mar. 12, 12:33 p.m. - Garcia just mowing down the Mets so far. 7 pitches...5 of them strikes
in the 2nd inning. He looks gooooood.

Mar. 12, 12:27 p.m. - Yadi gets called out on strikes via a bogus call. He let it be known
to the umpire too. Looked way outside from here.

Mar. 12, 12: 23 p.m. - Garcia looks very sharp early. Probably not trying to do too much and
be smart...unlike last start.

Mar. 12, 12:14 p.m. - Tyler Greene wastes no time. First pitch of the game he rockets one up
middle. But it clips the pitcher and deflects to 2nd baseman who
throws Greene out. Very tough luck. Greene's got a live bat with
immense strength. Waiting for potential to turn into production.

Mar. 13, 10:27 a.m. - Fans getting a little too crazy asking Matt Holliday for autographs.
They are relentless.

Mar. 13, 10:24 a.m. - Tony pregame chat notes. Still searching for right handed hitting
center fielder. Greene in mix, Shane Robinson was mentioned (probably
just as a courtesy) and even Allen Craig (doubtful). Greene
undoubtedly has the upper hand if those are the names he throws out as
competition.

Mar. 13, 10:01 a.m. - Trever Miller, Brian Tallet, Brandon Dickson, John Gast and Raul
Valdes available in relief.

Mar. 13, 10:00 a.m. - Greene 6...Jay 7...Craig 3...Holliday DH...Freese 5...Molina
2...Stavinoha 9...Descalso 4...Robinson 8

Mar. 13, 9:45 a.m. - Good morning from Port St. Lucie. Clear skies and a great day for
baseball. Cards and Mets start in a couple hours with Jaime Garcia on
the mound. Last time out he said he was "stupid" and tried to do too
much. We'll see if he makes the adjustment.
